My hunting experience
I just wanted to take a moment to tell you all what a wonderful experience my group had with Pablo and his team in Northern Cordoba. We got back this morning and I assure you it is a trip none of us will ever forget.
There are many reasons. The dove hunting needs no explanation. If you’ve been to Cordoba you know it is second to none. We shot thousands of shells and the birds absolutely never quit. Our best shooter was averaging about 1500 birds a day.
But, what impresses you even more than the most bountiful shooting on Earth is the people. Pablo is a good man with a great staff. He’s dedicated to making a difference in the lives of everyone around him - his customers, his employees, and every person you come across in country.
The food was outstanding. Federico, one of Pablo’s top men, is a fantastic chef who whips up 5 star meals IN THE FIELD! Martin, Pablo’s right hand, is the man. He’s 27 years old, and has been doing this since he was 15. He’s the boss in the field, and leads his team by example.
Their attention to detail is astonishing. One funny/impressive note - one of our guy\\\\\\\'s (the best shooter, who I already noted above) mentioned in the field how he couldn’t wait to get back to Texas and have a glass of iced tea. When we pulled back up to the lodge, the wait staff was there with tea (good tea) for everyone. That’s the kind of service you get from Pointer - if you want it, they get it and you don’t even have to ask.
Thank you all for your roles in this. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. We made lifelong friends this week, and I won’t hunt Cordoba with any other outfit.
Happy New Year everyone,
Chisum Cooke
