Having a Great Time with Pointer Outfitters
From Texas to Argentina, we received another group of friends and family ready to have the hunting of their lives.
Since they got in an early flight, we picked up Mark’s group at the airport and drove them straight to the field, to the lowlands of Jesús María. Gabi, the cook, was waiting for them with some snacks and the asado was almost ready. The group settled at the camp and enjoyed some drinks before lunch time. They were tired for the long flight, but eager to start the hunt. All of them, Mark, James, Peter, Chris and John, have hunted in Argentina for many years. They love it here! At lunch time, they enjoyed the traditional asado together with salads, bell peppers stuffed eggs and red wine. After lunch, we started hunting. There were many many birds and the wind was great, so it was a good first day of shooting! The group decided to go to the lodge early in the afternoon to get some rest for the following days. They stayed at Agua Las Piedras lodge, a paradise for wing shooting lovers. It is the most beautiful and charming estancia guests will find. It is located in Totoral, a small town in the north of the province, right in the heart of the largest dove roosts in the area. The following day, we picked them up at 7 am, and we went back to the lowlands. It was a fantastic morning with a great volume of doves! All of them were experienced and excellent shooters! There was a weather alert for wind gusts in the afternoon, so we decided to have lunch quite early so they could shoot in the afternoon with no problem. At the 3 pm, the wind was blowing rather violently, it got cloudy and cold. Doves were flying high and moving everywhere, but still the group managed to shoot a lot until we decided to stop the hunting for security reasons and return to the lodge. The third day, we travelled to La Para, a small town in the northeast of Córdoba. After the trip, we got in place and started hunting. The weather was great! It was sunny and warm, and doves were flying low. It was a good morning! The group was incredible! All of them were polite, easy-going and calm. They were thankful for their field assistants and guides, the attention to details and the team work! And you, would you like to be the next one?
