Outstanding Experience in Argentina
Luckily, all the time we get to have guests like these groups we welcomed in August is all fun, joyful and amazing overall. The first group to arrive was Ben, Carl, Brice and Frank, who were later joined by the group of Rob, Eric, Tate and Will. It was our pleasure to get to know all of them!
All of them were experienced hunters, so the hunting routine mainly consisted of waking up early in the morning, going to the field for a morning hunt session, lunch at the field, afternoon wingshooting and return to the lodge to get massages and some rest.
As they had a lot of experience, we decided to take them to different areas and fields. We took them to the lowlands in Jesús María, to different corn fields in Totoral and to the Sierras Chicas, in the south east of the province. Every day, they couldn’t believe how many doves there were! And they were also amazed with the landscape, especially with the sierras and the Jesuit Estancia Santa Catalina, which we passed by to go to the field in the Sierras Chicas.
Every time we passed by it, the groups asked us to stop so the could take some pictures.
The Estancia is the largest one of the Jesuit estancias scattered in Córdoba. It was founded in 1622, and it’s widely known for its church, featuring the typical Argentinnian colonial Baroque style.
Both groups stayed at La Loma lodge during the same days. The lodge is a beautiful traditional estancia built in 1908 by one of the wealthiest families in Argentina. It’s located in Totoral, in the north of Córdoba province, next to one of the biggest dove roosts in our country.
At 12:00 everyday they got the call: lunch is ready! At the field, our guests enjoyed our traditional and delicious asados accompanied with roasted bell pepper with eggs, salads, grilled vegetables and red wine.
In terms of shotguns, our guests were pleased to use our Benelli Montefeltro 20 gauge shotguns.
Benelli Montefeltro shotguns feature a slim, graceful forend, which, combined with an anodized, lightweight receiver, keeps the weight minimal.
I’m pretty sure these groups of friends will never forget the best hunting experience of their lives. It was a pleasure for us to have them and we hope to see them around again!
And you… would you like to be the next one?
