Unbelievable Dove Hunting Experience

Combining friends and doves sounds like a great idea. If you are sure yet, see this amazing group of friends and how much fun the had!

On March 2019 we welcomed at San Huberto Lodge 4 really cool guys: Colby, William, Andrew and Colton. They arrived to the airport early than expected, so we could enjoyed more time in the field. After all the greetings and happiness of a safe arrival, we began our way to the field. Once there, we had a quick lunch: some lomo sandwiches (a typical Argentine meat cut) and choripanes (another typical Argentine meal- a kind of a sandwich which is grilled in a parrilla). Everything was delicious! And our guests were delighted of tasting Argentine food. Then we went to the field to begin the hunting. The first hunting afternoon was short but great! It was a good beginning.

The second day was a rainy day. We went to the hills very early in the morning. Around 9.30 the dove start flying above our heads and shots take over the silent field. They had so much fun! It was lunch time and the rain hadn’t stopped. We decided to go to a restaurant, it was impossible to cook a typical asado in the field! The food was delicious so they didn’t regret it! When we got back to the field, our guests let us know that they wanted to hunt together.

We usually place each guest in its own post, but it is not unusual to be asked to build a huge post to share. So did these guys. They wanted to have fun all together, so we put them all together! And they had a blast! We all had a blast, actually! We loved to share funny stories, good music and nice chats.

On the third day we had planned to go to the flat near Jesus Maria, but again, the rain changed our plans. We went to the hills, where we had hundreds of doves! They had so much fun hunting together the day before that they wanted to do it one more time. All of them were so kind, always willing to help us and to share a good time with all the field assistants. When this hunting day was over, we all drank some beers in the field and then we went back to the lodge.

The fourth and last day began a little bit later than usual, because they were tired and wanted to have some rest. Fortunately, the sun was bright! We went to have lunch at the field, this time an awesome asado: grilled meat and vegetables. They loved it! After a short nap, it was time to shoot. One of our guest joined the 1000 doves club! We were so happy to share that moment with him.

They were so grateful for all our staff, the food, and everything we had done for them. And we were grateful too. They were a really cool group, and we hope to see you guys soon!

YOU SHOULD BE THE NETX ONE!
