Muchas Palomas Everywhere
Nice days and thousands of birds, the perfect setting to do wing shooting with a group of friends! Let's see how they did in Argentina.
On the 25th of February, I went to the airport to receive a group of 8 friends. They were coming to Argentina to do wingshooting with us. The plan was the following: relax, have fun, and enjoy 6 good days of dove hunting. Where? At La Loma Lodge, a beautiful traditional estancia built in 1908, just a 60-minute drive from Cordoba airport, in the town of Totoral. The best option for groups of friends.
The group had previously told us that on their first day, they were not planning to hunt, but just to relax and enjoy the accommodations of the Lodge. So, I visited them, we talked and I got to know them a little bit more.
The five hunting days were incredible! We went to different fields: from one near Totoral and La Para to the hills and even the lowlands. The group was amazed by the number of doves they saw during the five days! The sky was covered with doves, so they really had a good time shooting.
When we went to the hills, we put on rain gear, since the previous day it had been raining, but luckily, the sun was shining!
That same day, one group member shot a thousand doves and joined our 1000 doves club! He was so happy that when we got to the lodge, we gave him his Club T-shirt and he immediately tried it on!
At the field, they tasted delicious meals, like the traditional Argentine asado. In the hunting experience in Argentina, there’s one thing that can’t be left out: delicious food, especially meat. We love it when our guests enjoy the Argentine food. The meals are usually accompanied by Malbec Wine and Quilmes beer, our national beer.
After lunch, they took naps of Paraguayan hammocks. The perfect way to recover energy to continue shooting after an intense morning!
They really enjoyed it and had fun. I even helped one of the clients to shot some doves, and then he thanked me! We returned to the lodge and had some drinks.
The group was amazed by the beauty of the fields and the number of doves!
They thanked us for everything: the staff members, the field assistants, the food, and the hunting!
It’s nice when you see the clients having a great time!
What about you?
You should be the next one!
