Thousands Of Doves and New Memories

Is there anything better than thousands of doves flying above the hunting field? Of course not! And this amazing group can tell you about it.

On October 2018, we welcomed at La Loma Lodge a group of 4 hunters: Gary, Eugene and Blake (father & son) and Max.

The first hunting day was in Santa Rosa, in Rio Primero. We arrived in the morning, when all the doves we coming out. We placed them in the posts and we let the hunting begin. It was an excellent shooting! At 11 am we were ready for lunch. Could you imagine how many doves they shot by then? Too many! Lunch was delicious, as usual. By 12:30 we were hunting again, since doves were coming back. It was a lucky day: Gary and Blake joined the 1000 doves club! Better said, it was not a matter of luck; it was pure talent! They are great shooters. Such an amazing first day. This hunting trip couldn´t begin better!

On the second day, we went to La Para. That morning was more quiet than the day before. Anyways, each of the hunters shot between 20 and 25 boxes of shell. The fact that there were fewer doves made the hunting better. In that way, you can choose which dove you want, making the hunting more exciting and challenging.

I stared at Max, a wise old man. He was such a nice person, and above all, one of the best shooter I have ever seen!

During the afternoon, the weather conditions changed and the day was less windy. Fortunately, this allowed the hunting to improve, since the morning had been complicated at times. All of our guests shot around 50 boxes - a good number!

The following day we went to the flats near Jesus Maria. In my opinion, it was the best day! Two of the guests reached the 2 thousand doves, while the other two, 1 thousand doves. There is no doubt they were one of the best hunting groups I have seen in a long time! Gary wanted to shot 8 thousand shots, and he did! He was so happy!

The last day was a rainy day. The hunting was quite complicated because of that, but we enjoyed the day eating in a nice restaurant in Dean Funes. After lunch, we went back to the field. We get wet, but it was fun anyways. It was different but a great way to finish the hunting trip.

We hope to have you back soon guys!
