It is a Family Thing
Though May was quite a rainy month, this month is part of what is known as “dry season” in Córdoba. But we can’t really talk about season for dove hunting in Argentina, since these birds are non-migratory, and the dove shooting is open all year round. Hunter are welcome any time of the year, like Kevin and his family.
Kevin, his dad Greg, and his two children Meghan and Kade, arrived in Córdoba from Louisiana. They arrived a day earlier because they wanted to get some rest before the hunt of the following day. They spent their first night in our country in the Holiday Inn, where we picked them up very early in the morning. After an hour drive, we arrived at the field ready for some proper morning hunt.
They were all very skilled and accomplished hunters. Meghan shot with a 20-gauge Benelli shotgun which was adapted especially for her, to make it short stock so she could shoot more comfortably. Kade, on the other hand, shot 1212 doves on one day!
They hunted four full days; from 7am to 10am every morning, they usually took some time off to rest and then hunted again some more until lunch time. After a nap at the field, they were ready to hunt some more until 5pm or 6pm or until the sun set.
It was Kevin’s second time in our beautiful country, and his first time with us. It’s always a pleasure to say goodbye to guests who leave happy and promising to come back
And you…? Would you like to be the next one?
