The Greatest Shoot Food and People

Matthew Rovira’s group was scheduled to arrive in two separate groups, so the first time we went to the airport, we picked Matthew, took him to the lodge where he had some time to rest before his friends came. At almost midday we drove him to the field were he was going to wait for his friends.

They were taken straight to the field to inaugurate their experience in Argentina with the best steak, the best wine and of course, the best doves!

Simply put, they just couldn’t believe the amount of doves. They were very anxious to start hunting just by seeing the amount of birds around. They just couldn’t imagine how the four days they had ahead were going to be with so so many birds. That afternoon, they were shooting like crazy! They wanted to get them all. After 2 hours of absolutely intense shooting, they were exhausted. Welcome to Argentina, guys! This is how we do…

For the second day, a very early start had been planned. The purpose: see the birds when they were leaving their roosts. At lunchtime there was only one conversation topic: they were in shock! Lol, astonished at how much shooting. SO much so, they asked us for some time to relax after lunch to recover before continuing the hunting.

That afternoon, three hunters got to the one thousand birds mark. They were delighted at this personal records. When we got to Plaza Real Resort, we gave them their 1000 doves T shirts as presents! They had pictures taken and celebrated with good drinks.

When the last hunting day came they were exhausted so they decided to take it easy and enjoy being together in such a memorable experience. They decided to hunt in pairs to have fun. When they got the birds, they exploded in celebrations, when they didn’t get them they explode in laughter. They stopped from time to time to relax and watch their field assistants show so much skill with the shotguns! Their field assistants were chanting and cheering them up non stop. Before lunchtime, all the hunters got together at the same blind with each field assistant and they started a competition. After that, a delicious, spectacular asado was enjoyed. It had been prepared by our amazing Gaby, the chef. A short rest before the afternoon hunt and then, the last shells spent in Argentina.

When it was time to say goodbye, the whole group was vary grateful to the field assistants, guides and entire staff. They promised to come back in two years time. More pictures taken, some gifts were exchanged and then we took them to the airport.

What an amazing time spent together!

You should be the next one!
