We follow their request to start the hunting a bit later than usual the next day to catch up with the sleep. Our goal is to offer our guests flexible trips so that they can enjoy the experience. Plaza Real Lodge is the chosen accommodation and welcomes our guests with the typycal atmosphere of the fall. Colorful trees and the ground full of leaves, Plaza Real is one of the best options for dove hunting in Argentina. It is located in the province of Cordoba, in the center of Argentina, 50 miles (100 km) north of Cordoba’s International Airport. The driving time from the airport to the lodge is one hour. 

By the time they get to the field, everything is ready for them! Our field assistants are eager to meet the new group and to start having fun. We have two hunters in each spot, which has been carefully prepared by the field assistants, they have drinks, music, the shells, everything that is necessary to have a great time.

They have chosen to use semi automatic shotguns, 20 gauge and and over and unders, 12 gauge. Our guests are very satisfied with the guns’ performance after the first day at the field. Our field assistants performe exhaustive cleaning of the guns after each day's use to make sure the guns performance is up to standard. Most of our shotguns are Berettas and Benellis. 

At Pointer Outfitters we know food should not be scarce, and after an abundant breakfast at the lodge, guests enjoy the most delicious Argentine lunch they will ever taste. Our chef Gabriel Pedercini prepares delicious starters everyday featuring dove. From dove skewers to stir fries and tacos, dove is the main ingredient of appetizers. After that, our world famous asado is served. Luch is a very special moment and we do it in the most traditional Argentine way. Our guests usually take pictures during this break, pictures of the food and how it is cooked, to show back at home. Malbec wine is the best way to complete such a typical meal. After that, guests can enjoy some relaxation time by the shade of the local trees, in the comfortable hammocks we hang. To satisfy the sweet tooth, delicious desserts are prepared by our cook Mary.

The volume of birds is really, really good and together with the jokes played at the spot, the only thing we hear is the shotgun and the laughter. We play music and the field assistants teach words in Spanish to our guests and the other way round, too! Another highlight of the day is the competition between guests and field assistants, who wins!?!?

After an intense day of hunting, our professional massage therapists are ready waiting for our guests to aliviate sore muscles for the next day. The fire pit is burning in the patio of the lodge. Our guests seat and enjoy the quietness of the town, Totoral, where Plaza Real is located. More wine and delicious food awaits, and after dinner, more laughs and jokes and annecdotes by the fire pit. What a great experience to enjoy with friends! And this was just the beginning. The rest of the days are spent in the same way, more and more birds, even more food and wine, and so, so so much fun.
