Everything Outstanding
Fall has already set in in Argentina and April is giving our guests magnificent weather to enjoy unique days of hunting. Warm, sunny days make the stay 100% enjoyable. Our guests George, Christopher, Robert and Daniel come from Texas and they are passionate hunters and fishermen.
They have chosen to stay at Plaza Real Lodge, one of the best options for dove hunting in Argentina. The driving time from the airport to the lodge is one hour, and the fields are conveniently located whitin short distance from the lodge.
Delicious American breakfasts are enjoyed every morning - scrambled eggs, bacon and great coffee, with a unique Argentinian flavor. George and Daniel are brothers in law and close friends, too. It’s George’s first time hunting in Argentina, and he couldn’t have asked for a better experience with us. They used semi automatic shotguns, 20 gauge. Pointer Outfitters field assistants are well trained in terms of gun safety and gun manteinance, making sure all our guests have enjoyable experiences using the shotguns.
George and Daniel are expert hunters and anglers and they enjoy this activities every weekend, which results in uncountable annecdotes that had us laughing to tears.
At the field, everything is planned for our guests to have fun. The hunting days go by full of music, jokes and birds. We all have a great time. We specialize in taking our guests to different fields every day (as long as weather permits) to make sure they experience dove hunting in Argentina in a variety of settings and conditions, and to make sure, of course, that the volume of birds is always top-notch. At this time of year, the birds stay in the flat areas and are constantly moving within those fields. Our field assistants make sure our guests have a fantastic time and unique hunting experience. By the end of their stay, they only have words of gratitude towards our staff.
Lunch time is highly anticipated by our guests. If its their first time in the country, they might have heard that Argentina is famous for the beef and wine, but little they know about how we do lunch in the field. We go big, and we make sure our guests taste the delicious asado that makes us well known all over the world. Our chef Gabriel Pedercini makes mouth watering dove appetizers and asado (our typical barbeque) to be enjoyed under the shade of local trees. When our guests feel so full they can’t even breath, desert makes its way to the table. And of course, traditional and home made as they are made by our cook Mary, no one can resist them. By the time desert has disappear, hammocks have been hunged so that our guest can enjoy a quick nap immersed in nature.
Afternoons are usually better, with the volume of birs being so incredible that it is common to see our guests put the shotgun down and just contemplate the swarm of birds, or even make videos of them.
When the hunting day is over, we make our way back to the lodge where our guests will enjoy a well deserved moment of relaxation. Some of them have asked for massages, so our massage therapists are waiting for them and will make use of different techniques to make sure muscles are not sore but ready for another day of hunting.
Plaza Real Lodge has the firepit on, and Malbec wine and more appetizers are ready. Our guests enjoy the annecdotes of the day and the calm of the town where the lodge is located, under a sky full of stars.
By the time the trip is over, our guests have become friends. We’re very thankful that they chose us. They will spend some days in Buenos Aires. We say goodbye among expressions of gratitude “The best trip ever! The best people ever! The best food ever! Everything Outstanding!"
You should be the next one!
