They Couldnt Believe Their Eyes

James, James II, James L and Mark arrived at Cordoba Airport on the 13th of March. Our guide and driver Federico picked them up and took them straight to the hunting field in an area called La Para. There, they hunted up to 12.30 when they enjoyed a delicious lunch.

They had a short nap in the afternoon to recover their energy and then they resumed the hunting until 6.30 pm. The day was fantastic and the shooting even better. Our guests are passionate hunters and were shooting very good percentages.

When the day was over, we drove them to Plaza Real Lodge, their chosen accommodation. The lodge was waiting for them with delicious appetizers, some good wine and other drinks of their choice.

Plaza Real is one of the best options for dove hunting in Argentina. It is located in the province of Cordoba, in the center of Argentina, 50 miles (100 km) north of Cordoba’s International Airport. The driving time from the airport to the lodge is one hour.

Evenings in Plaza Real are very relaxing, and our guests can also ask for massages to recover sore muscles for the next day.

The second day we drove our guests to the same area, La Para, different field. Here they enjoyed a great morning hunt and after a delicious lunch. The weather was on our side and allowed us to enjoy a better hunting session in the afternoon. Howverver, this was about to change and the weather the next day was not very good. Rain had fallen which made the access through gravel roads to some of the fields nearly impossible. But this was not a problem, we work hard to provide our guests with the best experience possisble and we have back up plans for unexpected situations. So on this day we repeated the same field given the access to it is easier.

We hunted until 1 pm when we decided to make a break for lunch, the weather was setting our schedule. The morning hunt had been really good so we decided not to have a siesta so as to make the most of the day before the storm started. The volume of birds was amazing. Our guests could enjoy the best hunting possible despite the weather.

For the last day of hunting we drove our guests to an area called Santa Rosa de Rio Primero. We left at 8 am and the day was sunny and warm, a bit windy though. The volume of birds was outstanding, too. We enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by our field chef Gabriel and immediately after that we went back to hunting. Our guests had asked us to make our way to the lodge earlier than the days before and so we did.

For their last day in Argentina, our guests decided not to hunt and choose one of the non hunting options Pointer Outfitters Travel and Leisure department has to offer. They had a city tour in the Capital of our province, where they visited important spots such as the Jesuits Block, delicious restaurants famous for the meat and wine and important shops where our guests could buy handcrafted leather and silver items.

After that, they spend the night in Azur Real, a comfortable hotel in the city, before making their way to the airport.

You should be the next one!
