Another Day in Paradise
On the 12th of March we welcomed Everette, Thomas, Kevin, Matthew, Thomas and Justin. Juan, our driver and company representative picked them up and drove them straight to the field where they got into their hunting gear to start their first hunting session.
When our guests come, we know there’s no time to waste and that’s why we have everything set up in the field to take them straight to the hunting. The hunting guide and the rest of the team had everything ready. Guns, lunch, hammocks for a short siesta, the hunting spots ready. So that day the hunting lasted till 6pm. After that, we drove them to their Lodge, Plaza Real. This accommodation is great for groups of friends given it offers a very relaxing atmosphere together with the best location for hunting in the area. The rides to the fields are very comfortable and quite short and our guests can soon enjoy some drinks and appetizers shortly after the hunting has finished for the day.
Plaza Real is close to Totoral City. This totally renovated and stylish hotel surrounded by farmland provides excellent and new accommodations to make your trip special. Argentina dove hunting reviews mention this unique place as a great option for wingshooters from all over the world.
The 13th of March started at 8 am. After our group had enjoyed a delicious breakfast, we made our way to an area called La Para. The ride to this field is a bit longer than usual but it’s definitely worth it. The hunting session in the morning was great. We stopped it at 12.30 for a delicious lunch. We take pride in the lunch camps we set for our guests and we love when they enjoy our delicious typical meals. Asado is our star meal in the camp. It features different meat cuts and also some dove with bacon or bell pepers. Our chef prepares it with passion in the traditional way asado is made, with firewood on the ground.
After a delicious lunch, our guets can have a quick nap in the hammocks by the shade of the trees. We kept hunting in the afternoon, until 6.30 pm. The hunting was really successful and all of our guests enjoyed it very much.
Regarding guns, we are proud owners of guns manufactured by Beretta and Benelli. Most of them are 20-gauge semi-automatic Benelli Montefeltros or Beretta Urekas. If a client is more confortable shooting a different gauge or prefers an over-under, Pointer can accommodate these requests. We have shotguns in gauges 4-10, 28, 20, and 12 and an assortment of Beretta Silver Pigeon and Browning Citori over-unders. Each night after the hunt, the field staff breaks down every gun to the firing pin to and given an extensive cleaning. This guarantees that every hunter will begin the day with a well-oiled, jam-free shotgun.
