At 7.30 we wake them up with breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, all ready for them. A hearty breakfast is necessary. The hunting is going to be intense. But lunch will be intense as well, so there’s nothing to worry about. 

We leave La Loma Lodge in our comfortable Mercedes Benz Van. This lodge is a traditional Estancia that was built in 1908 and renovated in 2014. Today, La Loma Lodge does not only offer an excellent service and nice scenery, but it also provides a relaxing atmosphere where our gests can truly soak the Argentine way of life.  This time, the field where we will enjoy the first hunting session is just 25 minutes away from the lodge. When we get there, everything is ready to start and our field staff is anxiously waiting to meet the new group. Something we love about this job is getting to now our guests, each group is a new rewarding experience. 

We have brand new guns and our guests can’t wait to test them. We are talking about the new Berettas 400, the novelty in the brand. But we have a wide variety of guns to offer them, such as Benelli Montefeltro Cal 20, M1 and Cal 12 Beretta Urika and Benelli Super Sport. They have all been used and widely accepted by our guests. 

The hunting experience was fantastic. This group couldn’t have asked for better weather conditions. Summer is finishing in Argentina and, although the warm days will still be around for a long while, the days are not as hot as in the peak of summer so the hunting is more enjoyable. Our field chef has prepared tasty meals, doves have been deliciously cooked in red wine and espectacular asados have been grilled for our guests. Needless to say, many Malbec wine bottles were uncorked.  

This time our guests experienced the hunting in the lower fields of the province, at about 50 minutes driving from the lodge. At this time of the year, birds start migrating towards the lower areas because it is there were corn, soy and milo starts being harvested, becoming very attractive for the birds. 

Regardless the migratory movements of the birds, our fields are strategically located in high bird volume areas. These fields usually have a great combination of water sources, crops, bird roosts and bush. This results in the volume of birds being constant all day long and in our guests getting the mark of 1000 doves pretty easily!

This group has two particular features: First, their hunting skills are really good. Their shooting average was above 70% and they shot more than 38500 shells and 15500 birds. Well done, boys!!!! Second, spending time with them means laughing till your stomach hurts and you start crying!
