You Better Make a Video

James, Joseph and Joshua arrived on the 7th of February at 9 am in our Airport Ambrosio Taravella. We picked them up and went straight to the field to have the first hunting session. There was no time to waste!

James is Joseph’s father and Joshua is a friend. Families are special to us because we know how important is to spend quality time with the family and make lifelong memories, even more nowadays when work related routines take up most of our time.

The first Argentina hunting experience took place in an area called La Tuna roost, in the Correa field. It’s really nice to go to the field straight from the airport. Our guests come really anxious to experience the Argentine wingshooting and we dont want to keep them waiting. However good the hunting day was, by the end of the day we were very tired so we made our way back to the lodge at around 6pm. Our guests chosen accommodation was Plaza Real Lodge, an ideal setting for relaxed evenings with friends by the firepit.

Plaza Real Lodge is close to Totoral City. This totally renovated and stylish hotel surrounded by farmland provides excellent and new accommodations to make your trip special. Argentina dove hunting reviews mention this unique place as a great option for wingshooters from all over the world. The lodge owes its name to the historic Camino Real, which means Royal Road and was one of the most important roads that connected the territory even before our country’s independence.

The rooms are big and comfortable, all with private bathroom, king and queen size beds, in single or double occupancy and special suites. Our friends enjoyed the place and had a good rest for the next day.

The third day was quite memorable for our friends. The destination was one of our favourite fields at this time of year: La Para roost. We started our way and the birds didn't take long to start flying over the road. The flocks of birds flying were massive. Our friends were amazed. The birds didnt stop flying over and around us during our way to the field. By the time we got to the field our guests had taken the phones and were capturing the insanity in pictures! The made videos of the doves flying because they just couldn't believe what they were seeing and they knew their friends wouldn't believe it either back at home. They would say, “c’mon liar! That’s not true!” But it is very true indeed, and that’s why Argentina is a favourite destination for dove hunting in the world!

Our guests said that the amount of birds was something from another world, so when they started hunting they were extremely excited. After an hour of intense hunting they had a break, and then, they went on again.

Lunch today was a fantastic barbeque in the field, our traditional asado featuring the best meat cuts our country has to offer. David was our chef and we can’t denny that every lunch he prepares is better than the one from the day before! Malbec wine is in the table, too. Nothing speaks more of dove hunting in Argentina than meat and wine in the lunch break.

Lunch in the field also features the doves just shot down. Enjoy amazing dove skewers with our country's signature sauce chimichurri, also known as chimichanga.

We had some rain during our recess, but we were lucky because the rain stopped and the sun started shining even brighter than before, and, even though our guests thought it was not possible, there were even more birds than in the morning!

The last night in the lodge called for drinks by the firepit. Our guests enjoyed their favourite cocktails while having a chat with Vicky, the host that was making sure everything run smoothly and taking care of every detail that night in Plaza Real Lodge. Our guests expressed their gratitude to all our staff for their outsanting service and they said they had had a wonderful experience.

The overall experience is great also because we have a wide variety of guns to offer, Beretta 391, 400, Beneli Montefeltro, Supersport, both caliber 20 and 12 and brand new guns: Berettas cal 28 and 410 for those guests who request this caliber. They are up tp standard showing incredible performace when shooting more than two thousand shots a day.

Before they left, we had one last morning of hunting. It was a very nice morning where they enjoyed being together and bid farewell to their field assistants. We enjoyed the last Argentinian asado and made our way back to the airport.

They promised to come back next year, we hope to see them again!

You should be the next one!
