It Is A Great Place to Shoot Birds

Joseph, Lee, Joseph and Benjamin are family and friends! They chose Cordoba to spend some quality time together doing what they like best: wingshooting. Of course, Cordoba wingshooting was not going to disappoint them, and all Pointer Outfitters’ staff was committed to giving them the most awesome experience.

They arrived at Cordoba, checked in at Plaza Real Resort and then they were ready to kick off!

The field cheff was waiting for them with an amazing lunch. Our hunters were probably hungry after a long flight, but not even in their wildest dreams they had expected the lavish lunch we had prepared for them. All kinds of meat cuts grilled by the fire. Our chef knows how to prepare a delicious barbeque, Argentine style! After refueling their bodies, they were ready for their first hunting session!

The grilling moment is usually a good one for pictures. Our guests have the chance to see how we cook our most traditional meal in Argentina and they love it. Once I had introduced the field assistants to each hunter, they were ready! They went to their blinds and the fun started!

Our guests were truly astonished, the volume of birds was blowing their minds! And not just the volume flying, but the amount they were able to shot down, too!

They weren’t expected the quality and quantity of birds, so they were positively surprised and excited! When they decided to put the guns down and wrap the hunting day, some ice cold beers were ready for them in the cooler. Time to celebrate!

The following days started very early so that they could make the most of each day. One of the days was not the best in terms of the weather. It was drizzling, foggy, and cold. Unexpected, really. September is spring in Argentina! Anyways, when we got to the field the surprise for our hunters this time was that the birds were not bothered by the weather. Millions of birds. An hour earlier than the call for lunch, the guys came to the camp and decided to sit by the fire. They had finished the morning hunt and had decided to enjoy the view of the meat being grilled while listening to music and having some pictures taken.

After lunch, the weather did not improve, not even a bit. Still rainy and oh, so cold! However, the hunters were not even bothered by it. They continued enjoying the hunt. This time, they were shooting in pairs, the brothers Joseph and Lee together in one spot and cousins Joseph and Benjamin in another. In this way, they could laugh and joke together. When we drove them to the lodge, they listened to some music by the fire before dinner was served.

For the last full hunting day, they decided to start a bit later than usual, they were tired! It’s not a surprise to have a sore body and aching muscles after the intense shooting. Pointer Outfitters has a wonderful team of professional massage therapists for that reason.  The day was spent competing. Who could get the most birds and who would be paying for the drinks that night was settled in that competition.

The last night, the guys decided to go our for some drinks with the field assistants and they had a blast! The last day, they enjoyed a more relaxed hunt, made sure to have great pictures to share with friends and family and then, we said goodbye. What a memorable experience!

You should be the next one!
